A 3 story, 19,000 SF training building for Local 242, situated on a sloped 2 acre site. 2 soldier pile, shotcrete walls on the east and west provide a flat area for the extensive training yard and for the structural steel building to sit on. Brick veneer and curtain walls feature prominently on the building façade, with a curtain wall Jewel box with hanging fixtures and lighted handrail providing a focal point at the building’s entrance on the east elevation.
The interior of the building features tiled restrooms and breakroom backsplashes, masonry accent walls, suspended wood architectural elements, GS floating acoustical clouds, and extensive soffits. Extensive interior glazing provides open sightlines for light to flow throughout the floor plan.
