Project Profiles

Client: Wentworth Hauser & Violich
Architect: SkB Architects
Location: Seattle, WA

Description: 4,500 sq. ft. partial floor high-end tenant improvement in the 901 5th Avenue Building for one of the oldest investment management firms on the West Coast. WHV’s home office is in San Francisco with Seattle as their satellite location catering to their Pacific Northwest clientele. The project is a traditional open floor office plan concept with private perimeter offices and interior cubicles. The design maximizes the use of natural perimeter light with full height glass walls as the perimeter office fronts. The space plan includes an executive video conferencing room, executive private offices, teaming areas, and a kitchenette area. Interesting architectural elements include stone-wrapped surfaces, wide plank wood floorings, fabric wall coverings, linear wood ceilings, custom lighting fixtures, and custom white oak and nickel doors. The reception area features a wood paneled wall backdrop behind the custom reception desk, which is actually a twenty foot long sliding door opening the reception area to the open office. Clients entering the space immediately get an appreciation for the rich architecture through the rich stone and dark wood finishes.
"I wanted to take a moment to thank Foushée for doing such a spectacular job on our space. It's truly gorgeous! Working with your team made all the difference. They were very detail oriented, organized and professional. I was very impressed that our project was finished on time, especially in light of all of the customizations we requested. I appreciate the experience you brought to the table. As a result, I'm certain we were able to avoid any design and construction pitfalls. Please let me know if I can provide a reference for you; it is definitely well-deserved! Thanks again for all of your time, patience and effort."
