Project Profiles

Client: Groundspeak
Architect: Marvin Yamaguchi
Owner Representative: Colliers International
Location: Seattle, WA

Description: 20,000 sq. ft. tenant improvement for the pioneers of geocaching, including a new dining room, conference rooms, a game room, and private offices. Unique to the Groundspeak space is the use of Arcadia storefronts and sliding glass doors at all offices and conference rooms. Architectural elements include the use of patterned translucent resin-sheet door panels, clear stained vertical-grain fir doors and casework, linear wood-grill ceiling clouds, and whiteboard wall coverings. For the flooring finishes: 10 different types of carpet tiles and 7 different colors of vinyl composition tiles. The entry lobby features frameless glass storefront walls and doors, a built-in custom reception desk that integrates the use of blackened steel and translucent resin sheets, and a polished concrete floor that accents the Groundspeak logo in its center.
"Thanks to the Foushée team for the herculean effort that you all put forth on a super-tight schedule to get us into our space on time and on budget. And thanks for your patience and flexibility through the process. I really enjoyed working with each member of your team and the vendors that you recommended. It was a privilege to work with such a capable and caring team. We absolutely love the space. It's a fantastic recruiting and business development tool for us, not to mention a great fit with our company culture. You will definitely be our first call next time we have an office build-out. It's great to have such a trustworthy partner."
