GREGG’S CYCLE
Client: Gregg’s Cycle
Architect: Weinstein A\U
Location: Bellevue, WA
Description:
This project included complete demolition of an existing building and construction of a new masonry-and-structural-steel facility for this bicycle dealership. Customers drive under the building to park, then ascend an eight-foot-wide staircase to the second-floor retail showroom. The parking area and retail areas are each 5,000 sq. ft. Clear windows with a high UV rating were installed on the street-side second floor of the new building to make the store's bicycles - hanging from special stainless steel railings and illuminated by special display lighting - easily visible to anyone passing by.
"Having limited knowledge of commercial construction, Ed Weinstein suggested that we only talk to firms with the highest reputations and substantial experience in retail building projects. He introduced me to Foushée. I was pleased with the fact that one of Foushée's owners and a project manager attended all of our meetings and that their customer oriented approach was very user friendly."
